Some of the most important things my students have said never came out in class.
In nearly twelve years of teaching English, I’ve worked with people who write excellent reports, give strong presentations, and pass every exam. Their English is good.
But now and then, in a quiet moment, one of them would start to say something that really mattered: a worry about money, the pressure of their work, a frustration they couldn’t share anywhere else. And then they’d stop. Not because they didn’t have the words. Because they were afraid of saying it wrong.
A classroom isn’t built for that. It’s built for accuracy, and rightly so. But I kept wondering where these people could use English just for themselves, without being graded.
That question is why I’ve started offering one-to-one English journaling sessions. You write by hand. You share out loud. I listen. No corrections, no performance.
Because it isn’t about saying it perfectly. It’s about saying what matters.
A few things you are free to do
- Write messy. Write slowly. Cross things out.
- Use a word from your own language if you can’t find the English word. We can find it together, or leave it.
- Share only as much as you want.
How It Works
What actually happens in a 40-minute session? 🕰️
1. You arrive as you are. We start with a quick check-in. How are you today?
2. You choose a topic. Something that matters to you: work pressure, money, a hope, a worry, a joy. Or something you’ve never said out loud.
3. You write by hand. Pen and paper, in English, for about 10 minutes. No rushing. No editing.
4. You share out loud. Read it or talk about it, whatever feels right.
5. I listen. I ask questions. I don’t correct you, and I don’t grade you.
6. You hear yourself. Often this is where you find your own answer.
There’s no homework and no test. The goal isn’t a better score. It’s an easier relationship with expressing yourself in English.
You will receive an email with a link to schedule a session after payment.
